About the Dentist

Dr. Mark Mann was born in the small town of Muleshoe, located in west Texas. Raised in Portales, New Mexico he graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1981 with degrees in Chemistry and Biology. After a few years working as an industrial and biomedical research chemist in the Houston area, he returned to academic study in 1984 and completed his D.D.S. in 1988.  His professional dental career began that same year when he opened his private practice in Fort Bend County.

 

Dr. Mann is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

 In the summer of 2005, Dr. Mann received the prestigious Fellowship award with the Academy of General Dentistry.   This award is granted to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in the field of general dentistry.  

To receive this honor, he completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled five years of continuing membership with the Academy of General Dentistry.  Dr. Mann joins an elite group of general dentists who have achieved this honor.  This FAGD award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
